Terminology & Usage

The purpose of this module is to familiarise the student with the specific terminologies and usages of NeuroSpinology in all areas of practice, philosophy and in the context of the NeuroSpinology profession.

Philosophy

This module is designed to give the student a broad introduction into the historical development of western philosophy, including the major trends and schools of thought which have occurred throughout western civilisation. The basics of the specific philosophy of NeuroSpinology are also discussed.

The intended result is a strong understanding on behalf of the student of the development of thought, the formulation of ideas and the philosophical trends impacting on civilisation today, and to provide a forum in which an in-depth investigation of all relevant philosophical issues can be carried out, so that the student may formulate the foundations of their own personal philosophy. This will allow them to develop professional confidence and success attitudes.

This module is delivered in an open-forum manner, with extensive interaction with and between students. Regular debates and group presentations also feature strongly.

Technique & Analysis

This module is aimed at developing the student’s assessment and analysis skills, as well as engendering full competence in technical delivery. Hands-on instruction is a feature of this module. The delivery is of a supervised, practical nature, including paired-off practical training and demonstration.

Client Management / Communication Skills

This module is aimed at providing the student with a sound understanding of the basics of effective communication, including familiarity with the anatomy of workable communication cycles.

This will include practical circumstances in which a NeuroSpinologist will find her/himself, such as relating to potential new practice members, delivering talks to groups, dealing with in-office questions and so forth. The outcome is certainty on behalf of the student that they can effectively communicate in the context of the functioning professional practice.

The delivery of this module is partly classroom style. However, there is also a strong practical and role-playing component.

The client management component is aimed at giving the student a thorough knowledge of the various necessities of client management. The module deals specifically with the many circumstances to which the NeuroSpinologist will be exposed, such as handling people on their first visit, developing and implementing education programmes, creating a positive first impression, implementing staff support systems for each practice member and the protocols of the standard visit by a regular client. Particular emphasis is placed on ensuring the highest level of service and client-focus at all times. Subjects also covered are the formulation of fee structures for NeuroSpinology practices (including the many options and the philosophies behind them), the development of a comprehensive policy and standard operating procedure manual for a NeuroSpinology practice. Every facet of practice is fully written up with necessary accompanying policies formulated so that the student may make whatever adaptations necessary for their own practice and have a ready-made, workable manual.

The students will begin delivering and managing all aspects of a professional NeuroSpinology practice with personal guidance from experienced supervisors.
